Daniel & Denise Croix-Rousse

Daniel & Denise Croix-Rousse

Daniel & Denise Croix-Rousse is located at the heart of the “canuts”’ district (Lyon’s silk workers’ district), across the street from Place des Tapis. It has been renovated to welcome clients in a comfortable setting, while maintaining its traditional bouchon décor. Chef Viola offers fine, elegant bistrot food. Enjoy the friendly village feeling of La Croix-Rousse while having a meal inside the restaurant or bathing in the sun out on the terrace–which extends to a pedestrian street. Daniel & Denise Croix-Rousse has been awarded a “Bib Gourmand” by the Michelin Guide.

Continuing Lyonnais traditions, we offer “mâchons” in our three restaurants (by reservation only). The mâchon is a traditional meal that Lyon’s silk-weaving workers used to have in the morning after their night work. It is made of pork and beef products and red or white wine.

Our restaurant is available for private bookings for up to 42 guests.
